WEC: no such thing as a cheap, easy and quick energy transition

The World Energy Council has published results from its latest World Energy Pulse which polled more than 700 energy leaders and decisionmakers. The resulting data set provides the most up-to-date snapshot of current attitudes towards progress on energy transition based on responses from across the global energy community. The survey reveals national security interests and green technology arms race as the greatest obstacles to the energy transition progress. Read more...

BlueFloat Energy New Zealand and Elemental Group have partnered together to develop an offshore wind energy industry in Aotearoa helping meet growing demands for electrification, offering solutions to decarbonise our economy and supporting the transition to a renewable energy future. NZ’s
biggest ever emissions reduction project unveiled |
The
Government is partnering with New Zealand Steel to deliver New Zealand’s
largest emissions reduction project to date, with half of the coal being used
at Glenbrook steel to be replaced with electricity to recycle scrap steel.
Prime Minister Chris Hipkins made the announcement alongside Energy and
Resources Minister Megan Woods and Climate Change Minister James Shaw at the
Glenbrook steel factory in South Auckland recently. Read more...
