SUMMARY:Behind the helm (In Person)
DESCRIPTION:Come hear the pitch of MPs and candidates as they delve into what they – and their party – would do to improve outcomes in the energy\, transport and climate change space if they get the chance to be behind the helm!\nThis FREE event is catered around you!\nNot enough young professionals have the chance to engage in dialogue with decision makers and ask them the questions they want answered.\nThis is about to change. This event is your opportunity to ask them what they think\, what they believe and value\, what they will do and how they want to get better results.\nWe have encouraged the panellists to engage with each other\, debating their points and stances.\nBut there’s a catch! To make this a very engaging session\, we want you to have at least one question in mind. A bit like when you go on a date\, preparing for something that matters to you and want to find out what your candidate feels about it.\nIf possible\, please send us your question(s)\, so we can call on you to ask your question during the event. You can send your question(s) to lgibbs@businessnz.org.nz\nThe questions can be broad\, involving anything energy\, transport and climate change related\, or even personal questions you have for the panellists. The questions can be addressed to one panelist or multiple. Again\, it’s up to you.\nPlease share this invitation around\, gather your friends and colleagues and come join us — we look forward to hosting you. Limited spots available\, so guarantee your seat by registering below. \nOur panelists include:* Hon Scott Simpson – MP for Coromandel\, Climate Change and Environment \nHon Julie Anne Genter – List MP\, Energy and Transport \nStuart Smith – MP for Kaikoura\, Energy and Resources \nSimon Court – List MP\, Energy\, Climate Change and Environment \nRaf Manji – Leader of the Opportunities Party (TOP) P.S. Unfortunately Labour MPs\, Maori Party MPs and NZ First candidates could not make it. \nLocation: BusinessNZ’s Office 3/11 Hunter Street\, Wellington Central\, Wellington 6011\, Level 6 \nOr Zoom\, for those elsewhere in the country (a zoom invite will be sent to you at a later date) \nRegistration: The tickets are free\, however\, limited\, sign up
