Welcome to the store-age: how energy storage is revolutionising electricity in the UK, New Zealand and across the Pacific.

Come and hear Dr Andrew Crossland, the Energy Storage and Microgrid Engineer for Infratec, speak on what battery storage and solar power can mean for businesses. 

Andrew spent 2½ years in the UK developing some of the first battery projects including the first retail offer for batteries with IKEA and Nissan, Britain’s first zero carbon store and mega-batteries for major businesses to reduce bills by more than 30%.  He came to New Zealand in May to work on similar projects with Infratec – a New Zealand company leading the way in decarbonising the Pacific.

The UK was a great learning ground and Britain’s decarbonisation has been dramatic – despite the famously bad weather! In his presentation, Andrew will review the British electricity sector and tell us what it has to say about a low carbon future for New Zealand.
