Powerco brings electricity and gas to 1.1 million customers across the North Island, including homes, businesses, and major industrial and commercial sites. Powerco owns and maintains the local lines, cables and pipes to ensure they can deliver safe and reliable energy now and into the future.
Powerco is made up of a diverse team, connected by their passion for serving communities. From the technical experts who plan and design its network, to those who work with customers to ensure they have a great experience, making a difference to communities is at the heart of the 500 plus-strong Powerco whānau.
Powerco has been implementing sustainable practices for some time, and its annual sustainability reporting now publicly tracks Powerco’s progress against its goals and targets, including a net-zero emissions target for 2030.
Powerco has a critical role in helping New Zealand achieve its net zero emissions goal, and is preparing its electricity and gas infrastructure to facilitate the energy transition for customers.
