Auckland – YEPN – First Event Of The Year
Join us at Mercury’s flash new building, to hear about their new wind farm as a further step to a low carbon future. Special thanks to Mercury for hosting YEPN’s first Auckland event of the year.
Nick Wilson, Manager Regulatory and Government Affairs, Mercury, will give an overview of the new Turitea wind farm: The 119MW Turitea wind farm will generate 470 GWh per annum on average, enough electricity to power 210,000 cars. When generation connects to the national grid at Linton, with commissioning expected to begin from late 2020, Turitea will be New Zealand’s third largest wind farm. It will be the first large-scale generation addition to New Zealand’s capacity since 2014.
Doors will open from 6:30pm and we will kick off the event at 6:45pm. The event will run until 8pm.
This event will also serve as an opportunity to shape future YEPN events in Auckland. Please come with with some good ideas as you’re encouraged to pitch any for future events. Some potential event ideas:
- Presentations
- Site visits
- Networking
Join us for a FREE event, with drinks and snacks of course.
