BEC Seminar: NZ’s Energy Future and the Role of Gas
The energy sector must change as we look for pathways towards net-zero carbon emissions. Gas will play an important role to ensure the security and affordability of energy, and support the transition to a more sustainable energy future.
BusinessNZ Energy Council are delighted to invite you to our next lunchtime seminar, a panel discussion about New Zealand’s energy future and the role of gas.
Policy changes must balance the need for sustainable energy with the need to ensure access to secure and affordable energy. Join us as our expert panel explores the future of gas in New Zealand. The discussion will cover questions like:
- What role should gas play over the next 15 years?
- What options best balance sustainability, affordability and reliability?
- What does the future look like for gas users?
- What are the implications for electricity generation?
- What opportunities are there for alternative fuels?
- What incentives or investment structures will we need?
The discussion will begin promptly at 9am. Following the discussion we will provide morning tea and an opportunity to network with representatives from across the energy sector.
